About the electric chain hoist

An electric chain hoist lifts with a motor in place of hand effort. The operator controls up and down from a push button pendant, and a brake holds the load when the button is released. It is the usual choice where loads are lifted many times a shift or are too heavy to raise by hand quickly.

We sell seven models. The 500 kg to 5 ton models are listed at 220 V and the 10 ton runs on three phase. The 500 kg (1 HP, 6.3 mm chain) and 1 ton (2 HP, 8 mm chain) are single fall and lift at about 6.8 m/min. For 2 ton there are two choices: a 2 HP double fall model at 3.3 m/min, or a 5 HP single fall model on 10 mm chain at 6.6 m/min. The 3 ton is 5 HP double fall at 5.4 m/min. The 5 ton is 7.5 HP double fall on 12 mm chain, and the 10 ton is 10 HP four fall, both at 2.7 m/min.

Standard lift is 6 m, or 3 m on the 10 ton, and extra chain can be supplied. Hang the hoist from a fixed point or run it along an I-beam on an electric or geared trolley. In Bengaluru and the engineering belts of Hosur, Chennai and Coimbatore, these hoists work on assembly lines, at CNC machines, in fabrication bays and in stores.

How to choose

Pick a capacity above your heaviest load, including slings and lifting beams.
For 2 ton, choose the 5 HP single fall if lifting speed matters, or the 2 HP double fall if a slower lift is fine.
The 500 kg to 5 ton models are listed at 220 V and the 10 ton needs three phase, so check your site supply and the motor HP before you order.
Tell us your hook height so we can add chain if 6 m is not enough.
If the hoist has to travel along a beam, add an electric trolley matched to your I-beam size.

Should I buy single fall or double fall?

Single fall lifts faster. Double fall carries the load on two lines of chain and lifts slower. For 2 ton we offer both, so choose by how often you lift and how fast you need it.
